Organize and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, prepare detailed workflow charts and diagrams that describe input, output, and logical operation and convert them into a series of instructions coded in a computer language. Analyze information processing or computation needs, plan and design computer systems by using structured analysis, data modeling, and information engineering. Perform trial runs of programs and software applications to ensure the accuracy of desired information and program instructions, and also correct any errors by making appropriate changes and inspect the program to ensure that the desired results are produced. Coordinate with other system analysts to define and resolve problems in terms of the smoothness of running computer programs.
