Printer Setup (Okidata Microline)

These instructions only cover setting up the Okidata Microline 320 Turbo printer for use with DeskManager. If you are using another make or model printer, these instructions are likely not applicable.

Check the Okidata 320 Turbo Printer Settings

Insert a blank sheet of paper in the printer.
Enable the printer's Menu Mode by pressing and holding the Shift and Sel buttons at the same time. If the Menu light does not come on, turn the printer off and back on and repeat this step.
Set the printer's Emulation Mode to "IBM PPR".
Press the Group button (located under LF). The printer should print:

General Control       Emulation Mode       xxxxxxxxxx
```
If the Emulation Mode is set to IBM PPR, skip to Step 4. Otherwise, press Set until it prints:
```
General Control       Emulation Mode       IBM PPR
```
Set the Bottom Margin to "Invalid".
With the Menu light still on, press Group until the printer prints:
```
Top Feed       Line Spacing        xxxxxxxxxx
```
Press Item. The printer should print:
```
Top Feed       Bottom Margin       xxxxxxxxxx
```
If the value for Bottom Margin is "Invalid", skip to Step 5. Otherwise, press Set, and the printer should then print:
```
Top Feed       Bottom Margin       Invalid
```
Set the Paper Out Override setting to "Yes". With the Menu light still on, press Group until the printer prints:
```
Set-Up       Graphics               xxxxxxxxxx
```
Press Item. The printer should print:
```
Set-Up       Paper Out Override     xxxxxxxxxx
```
If the value for Paper Out Override is "Yes", skip to Step 6. Otherwise, press Set, and the printer should then print:
```
Set-Up       Paper Out Override     Yes
```
Press and hold the Shift and Sel buttons at the same time to turn off the Menu Mode.

Install the Okidata 320 Turbo driver for Windows

Click Start->Printers and Faxes.
Double-click on Add Printer.
The Add Printer Wizard will start. Follow the instructions to complete installation of the driver.
Be sure to print a test page to verify that the driver has been installed and that the printer has been hooked up correctly.

Setup DeskManager to use the Okidata 320 Turbo printer

Click File->Printer Setup from the DeskManager main menu.
Select the Okidata 320 Turbo and click Save.
